Job purpose

Our Business Analyst will gather information and analyze the business processes, procedures, and systems for one of the world’s leading e-commerce projects. This is a long term project where you will have the opportunity to influence how the customer will be working with the system and have the chance to come up with brilliant ideas and solutions.

The Business Analyst will communicate to the stakeholders best practices and modifications to improve these processes, and will monitor changes to make sure that they are effective, as well as providing documentation, testing, and support. This is a great opportunity to work for an industry leader that runs global commerce. We are looking for self-motivated and talented people at various levels of seniority that will help us to deliver a unique solution.

Requirements and desired skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field is a requirement
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in business analysis
  • Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Spoken and written Czech is a requirement
  • Excellent spoken and written English is a requirement
  • UML is a plus
  • A technical background is a plus
  • Experience with Atlassian and JIRA is a plus
  • Agile Scrum experience is a plus

Your key responsibilities

  • Develop requirements through in depth analysis of business activities and business owner requests
  • Act as a liaison between business owners and IT staff
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders, business units, technical teams, and support teams to define concepts and analyze information needs and functional requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying needs in reality
  • Develop requirement specifications for developers, drive the design or UI, and create change request documents as necessary
  • Support application testing, implementation, and training activities
  • Some travel to the USA may be required
